Cleaning:

Applying lacquer:

• Apply a coat of lacquer with a spray can, brush, or cloth
• Apply thin, even coats to avoid drips and runs
• After each coat dries, smooth out the surface with fine steel wool or 320-grit sandpaper

Applying olive oil:

• Apply olive oil to the sign to restore its appearance if it fades over time
