Cleaning:

Sealing:

Popular options include polyurethane, varnish, shellac, acrylic spray, and mod podge 

Other tips:

• Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh detergents, as they can scratch or damage the slate
• Avoid hitting the slate with heavy objects
• Avoid leaving hot or greasy pans sitting on the surface
• Wipe up spillages immediately, especially acidic juices

Warnings:
Not suitable for children under 3 years - small parts may present a choking hazard. Magnets can interfere with electronic equipment and medical devices. Handle with care to avoid sharp edges on laminated products. Vinyl and plastic components are flammable – keep away from open flames and extreme heat.
